11 March 2015 FirstGroup plcFirstGroup appoints Wolfhart Hauser as Chairman FirstGroup plc announces that Wolfhart Hauser will succeed John McFarlane asChairman following the Annual General Meeting on 16 July 2015, at which timeJohn will retire from the Board. Wolfhart will join the Board as aNon-Executive Director and Chairman Designate on 18 May 2015. For the past ten years Wolfhart has been CEO of Intertek Group plc, theinternational quality and safety services provider and FTSE 100 constituent.Under his leadership, Intertek has developed from a medium sized group ofseparate testing businesses into an integrated global organisation with over38,000 employees and operations in more than 100 countries. Wolfhart will stepdown from his role as Intertek CEO and board member on 15 May 2015. Wolfhart is a Non-Executive Director of Associated British Foods plc and ofReed Elsevier PLC and Reed Elsevier NV. He was previously a Non-ExecutiveDirector of Logica plc. Wolfhart will be paid a fee of £280,000 per annum in respect of his role asChairman of FirstGroup plc.
