Dwyka Diamonds Limited21 November 2005 Dwyka Diamonds Limited Appointment of Chief Executive Officer The directors of Dwyka Diamonds Limited ("Dwyka" or "the Company"), the AIM andASX quoted diamond producer and developer, today announces the appointment ofAdrian Griffin (aged 52) as Chief Executive Officer of the Company, effectivefrom 1 December 2005. Adrian's appointment is designed to allow the Company toeffectively manage its current stage of rapid operational growth due to therecent successes in acquiring and opening the two underground kimberlite mines,Blaauwbosch and Newlands and the conclusion of the two transactions with DeBeers. Mr Griffin graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1975 with majors ingeology and metallurgy. He has spent 30 years in the mining industry withresponsibilities including exploration, feasibility, financing and developmentof a wide range of commodities. His exposure includes professional involvementin Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, Australia and Antarctica. He has beeninstrumental in the development of operations exploring for and producing arange of commodities which include gemstones, iron ore, base metals, mineralsands, platinum group metals and gold. He has had numerous senior appointments with public companies including those ofexploration manager, open pit manager, registered mine manager of undergroundoperations, chief operating officer and various board appointments. He hasspecialised in development and commissioning operations which have benefitedfrom the application of less conventional mining and processing technologies toenhance value.
