APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR
The Board of Booker is pleased to announce that Stewart Gilliland has been appointed as a Non Executive Director with immediate effect. Stewart, 53, recently retired as Chief Executive of Muller UK and Ireland after a long career spent in senior roles with leading consumer-facing companies, including Whitbread and Interbrew. His current roles include non-executive directorships of Sutton and East Surrey Water PLC and Brulines Group, which provides volume and revenue protection systems for the licensed on-trade.
Richard Rose, Chairman of Booker, said: "We are delighted that Stewart has agreed to join the Board of Booker. His long experience of working with leading consumer brands and, in particular, his time working in the beverages industry will be invaluable as we continue our journey to focus, drive and broaden our business."
