Fyffes PLC24 September 2007 Fyffes plc Stock Exchange Announcement Directorate changes Fyffes plc wishes to announce the following changes in the composition of theBoard. James O'Dwyer LLB (60) has been co-opted to the Board with immediate effect. Heis a consultant with Arthur Cox, the leading Dublin based law firm, havingpreviously been Chairman and senior partner of the firm for approximatelyfourteen years until his retirement from those positions in 2006. Prior tothat, he was managing partner of the firm for almost two decades. He isadmitted to practice at the New York State Bar and is a member of the boards ofStafford Holdings Ltd and the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business.Prior to its acquisition by Madison Dearborn Partners, he was also a director ofJefferson Smurfit Group plc. Commenting on this appointment, Fyffes Chairman, David McCann, said: "We are delighted that James has agreed to join the Fyffes Board. He hasextensive experience, especially in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, andthis will be of particular benefit to Fyffes as it pursues its medium termgrowth strategy". Willie Walsh, Chief Executive of British Airways, has informed the Fyffes Boardof his intention to retire as a director of the company with effect from 31October 2007. Commenting on this, Fyffes Chairman, David McCann, said: "Willie has been a director of Fyffes since January 2004. His enormouscommercial experience has been a tremendous asset to Fyffes and his advice willbe greatly missed. We are very grateful to Willie for his efforts over the pastfour years when the Group has gone through significant changes."
