Directorate Change

The Board of Vietnam Enterprise Investments Limited announces that its Chair, Sarah Arkle, has decided to step down as a Director of the Company with immediate effect following the successful completion of the Company's tender offer announced on 15 December 2025, and which will complete today.

Ms Arkle has been a Director of the Company since January 2022 and was announced as Chair in November 2023 to replace Gordon Lawson, who stepped down in June 2024.

Following the recommendation of the Nomination Committee, Charles Cade, the Senior Independent Director, will become interim Chair pending the appointment of a new Chair. Mr Cade has over 30 years' experience in the investment company sector and is currently Chair of Temple Bar Investment Trust.

Sarah Arkle said "I am delighted with the positive response to the tender offer and, following the significant time commitment over the last six months, I feel it is time to hand over to the new generation of Directors to take VEIL forward. I remain positive about the outlook for Vietnam and wish VEIL well in the future".

The measures implemented have resulted in a significant narrowing of VEIL's discount to NAV and leave the Company well positioned to benefit from the exciting growth story in Vietnam".
