Lookers PLC13 May 2005 LOOKERS plc "Lookers" Appointment of a new Director Lookers announces that following the retirement from the Board of Directors ofMr Graham J Morris as a non-Executive Director at the conclusion of the AnnualGeneral Meeting of the Company held on Thursday 12 May 2005, the Board haveappointed Mr John E Brown F.C.C.A. C.T.A. as a non-Executive Director of theCompany from today. He also becomes Chairman of the Audit Committee John Brown is a certified Accountant with 40 years experience in finance andmanagement. He is currently Chairman of Voller Energy Plc and investor relationsconsultancy Scott Harris Limited as well as Chief Executive of Speedy Hire Plcuntil his retirement in July this year. During his career at Speedy Hire thebusiness has grown from one outlet to a National network of over 320 locationsand is the market leader in its field of operations. He is also a member of theNorth West Economic Panel of the Bank of England. The Board are delighted that John has agreed to join them and are confident thathis extensive financial experience at senior management level and provenbusiness acumen will be of considerable benefit to the business in his role asan independent non-Executive Director.
