RETIREMENT OF DIRECTOR
London: 3 June 2010 - Mercator Gold plc ("Mercator" or "the Company") announces that Mr Nicholas Allen, who has been a Non-Executive Director of the Company since 7 April 2004, has retired from the board for personal reasons. The retirement becomes effective on 31 May 2010.
Patrick Harford commented:
"Nick has been a key member of the Board and has provided valuable support to the Directors and Management of the Company since his appointment, and especially during the very difficult time of 2008-2009. He has helped greatly in the transformation of the Company from junior explorer to producing gold miner and now to the diversified mineral development company.
