Northumbrian Water Group PLC17 November 2006 Northumbrian Water Group plc (the "Company") Appointment and Resignation of Directors The Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Claude Lamoureux as anon-executive director on the Boards of the Company and Northumbrian WaterLimited ("NWL") with effect from 1 December 2006. Mr Lamoureux is President and Chief Executive Officer of Ontario Teachers'Pension Plan Board ("OTPP"), as well as a co-founder of the Canadian Coalitionfor Good Governance and chair of the Accounting and Auditing Practices Committeeof the International Corporate Governance Network. OTPP holds 25% of the issuedshare capital of the Company and Mr Lamoureux will therefore not be regarded asan independent director. A further announcement will be made shortly in relation to LR 9.6.13. On the same date, Ron Lepin, who will shortly be leaving the employment of OTPP,will resign his directorships of the Company and NWL.
