Appointment of a Director
The Board of Foreign & Colonial Investment Trust PLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Beatrice Hollond as an independent non-executive Director with effect from 1 September 2017.
Beatrice spent 16 years at Credit Suisse Asset Management in Global Fixed Income and began her career as an equity analyst at Morgan Grenfell Asset Management. She is now a member of the Board of Brown Advisory and holds non-executive directorships at Telecoms Plus PLC, M&G Group Limited and Templeton Emerging Markets Investment Trust. Beatrice is Chairman at Millbank Investment Managers, Chairman at Keystone investment Trust and non-executive director and Chairman of the Audit Committee at Henderson Smaller Companies Investment Trust.
Commenting on the appointment, Simon Fraser, Chairman, said:
"Beatrice Hollond has extensive experience in asset management and as a non-executive director, including investment trusts. I am delighted that Beatrice is now joining the Board of Foreign & Colonial."
Other than a previous non-executive directorship at Catlin Insurance Group, no further information is required to be disclosed under Listing Rule 9.6.13 in respect of this appointment.
