AMEC appoints new board director and announces new company secretary
AMEC plc, the international engineering and project management company, today announces that Linda Adamany will be joining the board as a non-executive director on 1 October 2012.
Linda Adamany has been a non-executive director at National Grid since 2006. She previously held various executive roles for BP in both the UK and the US, including Chief Executive of BP Shipping and Group Vice President and Commercial Director, BP Refining and Marketing, and until August2007, was Group Vice President, BP plc. Linda is a qualified accountant and US citizen.
AMEC Chairman, John Connolly said: "Linda brings more than 30 years' experience of the global energy sector and significant knowledge of the operations of AMEC's major customers.
"I am confident she will make a valuable contribution to board discussion and so help shape AMEC's growth going forward."
Separately, Alison Yapp will be joining AMEC as General Counsel and Company Secretary on 1 December 2012.

A qualified accountant (CPA) with a BSc, Business Administration from John Carroll University, Ohio, she has undertaken post-graduate study at Harvard, Cambridge and Tsinghua universities.
