Legal & General Group PLC26 April 2007 LEGAL & GENERAL GROUP PLC DIRECTOR CHANGE Legal & General today announces that Robin Phipps, 56, Executive Director withresponsibility for UK Business Operations, has expressed his intention ofretiring from executive corporate life and will stand down from the Board ofLegal & General Plc on 13 July 2007. Sir Rob Margetts, Legal & General's Chairman, said: "During a distinguished 25 year career, Robin has been a major part of theextraordinary success of Legal & General. He has made an outstandingcontribution serving as a Board Director for the last 11 years, and beeninstrumental in building Legal & General's UK business into one of the country'sleading providers of protection, annuity and savings products." Legal & General confirms that Executive Directors, John Pollock and Kate Avery,will continue in their existing UK business management roles with responsibilityfor Protection & Annuities and Wealth Management respectively, reportingdirectly to Group Chief Executive, Tim Breedon.
