Change of Director

Aberdeen Asset Management PLC ("the Company") announces that Anne Richards, Chief Investment Officer, is leaving the Company later this year to become Chief Executive of M&G Investments, the UK and European asset management arm of Prudential plc.

Anne's role as Head of the Company's Solutions business (covering multi-asset, alternatives and quantitative investment capabilities) will be taken over by Andrew McCaffery who is currently Global Head of Alternatives. Andrew will report to Hugh Young who already heads up the Group's Equities, Fixed Income and Property businesses. Andrew and Hugh will continue to apply Aberdeen's long standing investment philosophy which has proved to serve our clients so well over the longer term. Andrew Laing, the Group's Deputy Chief Executive, will take over responsibility for the Group's operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Anne joined the Company when it acquired Edinburgh Fund Managers in 2003. She joined the Board in 2011 and, as well as her role as Chief Investment Officer, has been responsible for operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
