3i Infrastructure plc ("the Company") announces the appointment of Sir John Collins as a non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 1 January 2009.
Sir John Collins has been Chairman of DSG International plc since 2002 and is also a director of Rothschild Continuation Holdings AG. He was previously a non-executive Director of NM Rothschild & Sons and The Peninsular and Oriental Navigation Company plc.
He has also served as Chairman of the Advisory Committee on Business and the Environment, Chairman of the DTI's Energy Advisory Panel, Chairman of the DTI/DEFRA's Sustainable Energy Policy Advisory Board, President of the Energy Institute and as a Governor of Wellington College.
Peter Sedgwick, Chairman of 3i Infrastructure plc, said:
