DIRECTORATE CHANGE 

The Scottish Investment Trust PLC announces the retirement of Hamish Buchan as a Non-Executive Director following the Company's AGM held earlier today.

James Will, Chairman of the Company, commented, "The Company has benefited greatly from Hamish's knowledge and experience over the last fourteen years. On behalf of the Board, I should like to thank Hamish for his outstanding contribution. There is no current intention to replace Hamish as the Board considers that its membership will continue to ensure that the appropriate balance of skills, experience, independence and knowledge will be achieved".
