DIRECTORATE CHANGE
APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Chemring today announces the appointment of Pete Raby as an independent non-executive director. He will join the Board on 1 September 2025.
Pete has a strong technical background and extensive experience in planning and executing business strategy across global technology and manufacturing operations.
Pete is currently CEO of Morgan Advanced Materials plc ("Morgan"), the FTSE-250 listed global manufacturer of advanced carbon and ceramic materials with 60 operating sites serving a diverse range of customers across a range of end-markets and employing approximately 8,600 people worldwide. He is highly-regarded for having driven considerable transformation and operational improvement at Morgan over a sustained period. Pete has been in this role for ten years and is due to retire on 1 July 2025.
Before joining Morgan, Pete was President of the Communications and Connectivity sector of Cobham plc. Pete demonstrated strong leadership across a range of senior strategy, technology and operational positions at Cobham over a nine-year period. Prior to Cobham, Pete was a partner at McKinsey & Company in London, specialising in strategy and operations in the aerospace, defence and power and gas sectors.
Pete has a PhD in Satellite Navigation and a Master's degree in Engineering, both from Leeds University.
Pete is a Non-Executive Director of Hill & Smith plc. Upon joining the Board, Pete will become a member of the Audit, Nomination and Remuneration committees.
