St. James's Place PLC05 January 2007 BOARD CHANGE AT ST. JAMES'S PLACE St. James's Place plc ("SJP"), the wealth management group, and Mark Lund (ChiefExecutive) have jointly agreed that Mark will today step down as Chief Executiveand will be leaving the Group to seek a fresh challenge. Mike Wilson (Chairman) said, "The Board would like to thank Mark Lund for his significant contribution andcommitment since joining the Group three years ago and becoming Chief Executivein September 2004. During this time St. James's Place has grown new business and profitssubstantially. The St. James's Place Partnership is well positioned to continueto capitalise on the opportunities in the fast expanding wealth managementmarket. We wish Mark continued success in the future." The search for a new Chief Executive will start shortly. In the meantime DavidBellamy, who has been the Group Managing Director over the last five years, willtake over responsibility for the day to day running of St. James's Placesupported by Andrew Croft (Group Finance Director) and Ian Gascoigne (GroupSales Director). The Board has every confidence that this senior and experienced executive teamwill continue to drive the business forward until the new Chief Executive isappointed. Mark Lund (Chief Executive) said, "The last three years have been outstanding for the Group and I am delighted tohave been part of this. I wish everyone at St. James's Place a very successfulfuture." The Group confirms that growth in new business continued in the fourth quarterand that new business is in line with market expectations.
