Nviro Cleantech plc12 October 2007 Nviro Cleantech plc ("Nviro" or "the Group") Director Appointment Nviro Cleantech plc (AIM:NVR), a leader in commercialising 'clean' technologies,is delighted to announce the appointment of US-based Andrew James Cosentino tothe Company's Board of Directors. The appointment of Andrew will provide theGroup's Board with strength of experience in the US corporate environment, asthe Group increases its level of activity in the US, primarily through its cleancoal technology subsidiary, Vertus Technologies Limited ("Vertus Technologies"). Andrew is an experienced corporate lawyer who has spent 25 years in practicewith major US legal groups. During that time Andrew worked extensively withpublic and private corporations, as well as with investment banking and otherfund clients. Andrew's role also involved advising on mergers and acquisitions,and counselling on the structuring and operation of businesses. In 2003, Andrew left his position as a partner at the law firm Piper MarburyRudnick & Wolfe (which firm subsequently became DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Carythrough merger). Since 2003, Andrew has been involved in providing his servicesas a high-level consultant to emerging and entrepreneurial enterprises in areasincluding high-tech start-ups, internet businesses, biotech and financialbusinesses. In addition to Nviro Cleantech plc, Andrew is presently a directorof two other companies which expect to list their shares in the near future:Inflect Technologies Limited, a company engaged in development of noveltechnologies; and Torus PLC, an investment banking firm. Andrew has also been adirector of three privately held companies within the past five years: TWKHoldings Limited, Hyperion Investments Limited and Hyperion USA LLC, privateinvesting and consulting firms. Andrew was also previously a director of EnhanceBiotech, Inc. There is no other information regarding Mr. Cosentino to be disclosed pursuantto Schedule 2 paragraph (g) of the AIM Rules for Companies. Nviro is also pleased to announce the internal promotion of Dr. Kenneth Hughesfrom Project Director to President of Vertus Technologies. The strength andbreadth of Dr. Hughes' academic and industrial research efforts in both chemicaland environmental science is ideally suited for developing the Group's leadproject in clean coal and biomass pre-treatment for the power generatingindustry. As a founder and director of several new companies with early stage greentechnologies, Dr. Hughes brings to the Group substantial experience involvingfund raising, with government bodies in the United States, such as theEnvironmental Protection Agency, Department of Energy and Department of Defence,and efficient management of intellectual property assets. Under Dr. Hughes' leadership, Vertus Technologies will continue to focus onbusiness development in the US, China, India, and several other primary marketswhere coal and biomass are used as a primary fuel and where there is both arapidly growing demand for energy, and existing or forthcoming legislation tomanage emissions of hazardous air pollutants (HAP's) and CO2 output. Nviro'sjoint venture in China currently focuses on the efficient use of biomass forsustainable development projects.
