EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
The Board of Legal & General Group Plc ("Legal & General") announces that Kate Avery will be stepping down as Group Executive Director (Wealth Management) with immediate effect, and leaving Legal & General at the end of February. Kate will continue to be available to ensure a smooth handover of responsibilities to her successor. Kate was appointed to the Board in January 2001 and has been in charge of the Wealth Management Division since its creation. She has contributed strongly to the successful growth of the Legal & General Group during her 12 years.
An announcement in relation to her successor will follow.
The Chairman, Sir Rob Margetts, commented "On behalf of the Board, I commend Kate for her contribution over the last 12 years."
