Nature Group (AIM:NGR) the provider of port reception facilities and waste treatment solutions for the oil, marine and process industries, today announces that Darren Laguea, currently a Director and the Chief Operating Officer of Nature Group PLC, has decided to step down as a Director and the Chief Operating Officer of Nature Group PLC at the beginning of 2014. After nearly 20 years in the maritime waste industry he has decided that although he wishes to remain in the marine sector, it will be to pursue his own business interests unrelated to Nature's waste management activities.

We are pleased to announce that Darren has agreed to continue to assist the Company when necessary and thank him for his considerable contribution over the past 11 years in establishing Nature as a growing force in the management of maritime waste.

The process of finding a replacement for Darren is already underway as part of the overall restructuring of the maritime division and an announcement on his successor will be made in the near future.

"Darren has been a valued colleague for many years and having expressed a desire to move on to fresh challenges we are extremely sorry now that he has made his decision to do so. Fortunately we have made considerable investment in expanding our management team over the last year or more.
