Drax Group PLC18 December 2007 18 December 2007 Drax Group plc ("Drax" or the "Company") (Symbol: DRX) Directorate Change Drax, the UK power generator, announces today that, after over four years withthe Company, Gordon Horsfield is to retire as a non-executive director andChairman of the Board. He will be succeeded by Charles Berry, currently anon-executive director. The change will become effective at the conclusion ofthe Company's Annual General Meeting scheduled to be held on 17 April 2008. Tim Barker, senior independent non-executive director of Drax, commented: "On behalf of the Board, I should like to thank Gordon for his exceptionalcontribution to Drax. Gordon's skills and drive were crucial in achieving thegroup's restructuring, refinancing and listing. Drax is now a very profitableand cash generative business which has delivered significant shareholder value. "We welcome Charles to his new role. Charles has an extensive knowledge of thepower sector and has been a valued member of our Board."
