AVIVA ANNOUNCES DIRECTORS' RESPONSIBILITIES
Aviva plc announces that Richard Goeltz is appointed as senior independent director with effect from 1 January 2009. He succeeds Wim Dik who will retire at next year's Annual General Meeting. Richard Goeltz joined the Board in May 2004.
Aviva also announces that Scott Wheway has been appointed Chairman of the Remuneration Committee succeeding Richard Goeltz. Scott Wheway joined the Board in December 2007. Carole Piwnica has been appointed Chairman of the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee succeeding Wim Dik. Carole Piwnica joined the Board in May 2003.
Euleen Goh who will join the Board in January 2009 will become a member of the Audit Committee and the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee.
