Candover Investments plc - Appointment of non-executive director
Candover Investments plc announces the appointment of Jan Oosterveld as a non-executive director with effect from 29 October 2008.
Mr Oosterveld spent over 30 years with Royal Philips Electronics in both Europe and Asia. He was CEO of Philips Asia Pacific, chairman of LG Philips LCD and a member of the Group Management Committee with responsibility for Corporate Strategy.
Mr Oosterveld brings a wealth of European experience to the Board. He is chairman of Crucell NV (Netherlands), a non-executive director of Cookson Group plc (UK), Barco NV (Belgium) and Continental AG (Germany) and a senior adviser to Morgan Stanley. He was until recently a non-executive director of Atos Origin SA (France).
There is no further information to be disclosed under paragraph 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules issued by the Financial Services Authority.
Mr Oosterveld does not hold any shares in Candover Investments plc or any interests in any such shares.
