The Board of Aberdeen New Thai Investment Trust PLC (the "Company") is pleased to announce the following changes:

Anne Gilding is appointed as an independent non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 18 October 2019. Over the last twenty five years Anne has led the development of global communications, branding and marketing solutions for a broad range of companies including Impax Asset Management Group plc, BMO (formerly F&C), GAM, Vernalis Group plc and UBS. She is currently a senior adviser to Peregrine Communications and has served a term as a trustee of an educational charity.

There is no further information to be disclosed for Anne Gilding in respect of paragraphs 9.6.13 (2) - (6) of the UKLA Listing Rules.

Anne Gilding does not currently hold any shares in the Company.

Clare Dobie will retire as a Director of the Company on 3 December 2019. On behalf of shareholders the Board thanks Clare for her services to the Company over the past six years.
