Change to Board of DirectorsNigel Leavy move to non-executive role
Avia (AIM: AVIA), the AIM-listed developer and provider of clinical decision support systems worldwide, has reorganised its Board of Directors. Nigel Leavy, FCA, is standing down as part-time Finance Director and is moving to a non-executive role with immediate effect, in which he will Chair the Audit Committee and also be a member of the Remuneration Committee. Paul Preece, ACCA, is continuing in his full-time Financial Controller and Company Secretary position.
Barry Giddings, Executive Chairman of Avia, commented:
"I wish to extend the board's and my personal thanks to Nigel for his efforts and commitment to Avia. Nigel and I started Avia, having devised the health informatics strategy for the Company, raised the initial funding and acquired Plain Healthcare and since taken Avia into America, Australia, Europe and are now entering India and the Far East. The Avia team is pleased that Nigel will continue to serve as a non-executive on the Avia board."
