Ultra Electronics Holdings PLC31 January 2005 For immediate release 31 January 2005 Ultra Electronics Holdings plc ("Ultra Electronics" or "Ultra") APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Ultra Electronics announces that Chris Bailey has been appointed to the Board ofUltra as a non-executive director, with immediate effect. Mr Bailey, aged 58, recently retired from his role of Group Finance Director ofAggregate Industries plc. He was the Finance Director of the precursor companiesof Aggregate Industries from 1984 until its formation in 1997. He is a Fellow ofthe Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales and is also a Memberof the Association of Corporate Treasurers.
