Directorate Changes

The Board of Go-Ahead announces that after over ten years on the Board, Rupert Pennant-Rea will retire as a Non Executive Director on 24 October 2013 at the end of the Annual General Meeting.

As previously reported, Nick Horler was appointed as a new independent Non-Executive Director in November 2011 when Rupert, having served on the Board for over nine years, could no longer be considered as independent. Rupert continued to serve on the Board as a non-independent Non-Executive Director to ensure continuity and support following the changes to the executive team in 2011.

Commenting on Rupert Pennant-Rea's retirement, Andrew Allner, Chairman of the Board said: "On behalf of the Group, I would like to give particular thanks to Rupert for all his efforts during his long tenure as a Non-Executive Director. The Board will miss the wisdom and experience Rupert has brought to the Board's deliberations, in addition to the valuable contribution he made as Senior Independent Director and Chairman of the Remuneration Committee. He has served shareholders well."
