Hampson Industries PLC05 September 2007 Hampson Industries PLC Directorate Change Hampson industries PLC, the international aerospace and precision engineeringgroup announces, with immediate effect, the appointment of Chris Geoghegan asnon-executive director. Chris, 53, is currently group executive director of BAE Systems plc and hasannounced his intention to retire from that position on 31 December 2007. He isalso a non-executive director of Kier Group PLC. Chris has over 30 years' experience in the aerospace industry. He spent most ofhis career in the commercial division of BAE Systems and was appointed groupexecutive director in January 2007. Prior to this he was Group ManagingDirector. In 2002 he became a board member of Airbus Industrie and one of threechief operating officers of BAE Systems. Chris also has substantial experience in the military aerospace sector, havingbeen responsible for BAE Systems' European Defence Joint Ventures and whollyowned defence electronics companies, since July 2002. He is currently President of the Society of British Aerospace Companies. Commenting on the appointment, Chairman Tony Gilroy said: "Chris has enjoyed an outstanding career at BAE Systems and we are delighted towelcome someone of his calibre on the Hampson Board. "Chris's considerable international experience in both the commercial andmilitary aerospace markets will be of immense value to Hampson as we continue toexpand our core aerospace business through a combination of organic and externalgrowth opportunities."
