GAME Digital plc (the "Company") announces that it has been notified that Duodi Investments S.à r.l. ("Duodi") has disposed of its entire holding in the Company. Duodi is an investment vehicle that is ultimately wholly-owned by Elliott International, L.P. and (via a participation interest with Elliott International, L.P.) Elliott Associates, L.P. (collectively, "Elliott"). As a result, the relationship agreement entered into on 6 June 2014 between the Company, Duodi and Baker Partners LP (the "Relationship Agreement") has terminated, meaning that Duodi's right to appoint a board representative and board observer has fallen away.
Consequently, James Shinehouse (Duodi's current board representative) is stepping down as Non-Executive Director of the Company, with effect from 12 April 2018.
Martyn Gibbs, Chief Executive Officer of GAME Digital, said: "Elliott has been an engaged investor, and I would like to thank them for their support of GAME as we developed the operations and strategy of the business over the last six years. We have devised a strong growth strategy and are now well positioned to drive the transformation of our business, as we move from a seller of physical products to a provider of gaming experiences."
