Homeserve Plc21 December 2006 Homeserve plc - Directorate Changes Homeserve plc, the Home Emergency Service Company, announces the appointment of Ian Chippendale and resignation of Justin Jewitt as independent non-executive directors. Both will take effect from 1st January 2007. Ian has many years experience in the insurance services sector, having served in executive roles as Group Chief Executive of the Direct Line Group of companies, Chief Executive of Privilege Insurance and Chairman of the Insurance Division of Provident Financial Limited. He is currently Senior Independent Director of Thus plc and has very recently retired as Chairman of RBS Insurance. His previous board roles have included The Association of British Insurers and Linea Directa in Spain.
