Ladbrokes PLC12 June 2006 JOHN JARVIS APPOINTED NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF LADBROKES PLC Mr John Jarvis CVO, CBE has today been appointed a non-executive director on theBoard of Ladbrokes plc, with effect from 1 July 2006. Currently Chairman of Jarvis Hotels Ltd, Mr Jarvis (63) is also non-executiveChairman of Sandown Park Racecourse and a member of The Jockey Club. He was previously a non-executive director at United Racecourses and during histenure as non-executive Chairman of Sporting Index, Mr Jarvis successfully soldthe company in 2005. From 1979 to 1990, Mr Jarvis was an executive director of Ladbroke Group plc,and Chairman of Hilton International from 1987 to 1990.
