SMG PLC12 April 2005 New Director for SMG SMG plc ("SMG") announces that MT (Mary Teresa) Rainey is joining the Group'sBoard as a non-executive director. Having recently stepped down as Chair of Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R - thesixth largest advertising agency in the UK and now part of the WPP group - MTbrings a wealth of experience of both the advertising industry and of brandmarketing strategy. MT is currently a non-executive director of WH Smith plc, a founder and trusteeof the volunteering charity Timebank and a trustee of the independent thinktank, Demos. She is also a visiting professor at the University of GlasgowBusiness School and Chair of the Marketing Group of Great Britain. SMG Chairman, Chris Masters, said: "I'm delighted to welcome MT Rainey to the SMG Board. Her wide experience inadvertising and brand management will be invaluable as we continue to developand grow the SMG businesses."
