Aberdeen Asset Management PLC ("the Company") announces that Mr Akira Suzuki has been appointed a non-executive director with effect from 29 August 2013. Mr Suzuki is currently Executive Officer and General Manager in the Fund Research and Development Division of Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation. 

The Company confirms that there is no further information to be disclosed under LR 9.6.13 R

The Company also announces that Mr Kenichi Miyanaga has, with effect from 29 August 2013, resigned as a non-executive director of the Company.
