Speedy Hire PLC10 March 2008 10 March 2008 Speedy Hire Plc ("Speedy Hire" or "the Company") Appointment of Group Financial Director The Board of Speedy Hire Plc is pleased to announce the appointment of JustinRead as Group Financial Director with effect from 1 April 2008. Justin (46) has until recently been employed by Hanson PLC, the internationalbuilding materials company. At the time of his leaving Hanson, he held the dualroles of Managing Director, Hanson Continental Europe (since 2004) and Head ofCorporate Development (since 2002). Between 1994 and 2002, he held a number ofother senior roles within Hanson, including Deputy Finance Director, Head ofRisk Management and Treasury, Group Treasurer. He had also been responsible forHanson's corporate communications and investor relations. After graduating from St. Anne's College, Oxford University, Justin began hiscareer in the corporate finance department of Bankers Trust Company in 1983 andthen undertook an MBA at INSEAD in 1990 before moving to the Finance Division ofEuro Disney SCA in 1991. Speedy Hire confirms that there is no further information to be disclosed underthe requirements of Listing Rule 9.6.13 in relation to this appointment. Neil O'Brien will step down as Group Financial Director on 1 April 2008 and willbe leaving Speedy Hire after a handover period.
