David Atkins, an Executive Director of the Company, has been appointed as a non-executive director to the board of Whitbread PLC with effect from 1 January 2017.

Whitbread PLC is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 100 and the FTSE4Good indices.

This announcement is made in accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.14.
