Eckoh plc (AIM: ECK), the global provider of secure payment products and customer contact solutions, today announces that Peter Simmonds has informed the Board of his intention to resign from the Group's Board with immediate effect due to a recommendation made by a proxy advisory firm in relation to one of his other directorships. The Board fully understands his decision and has accepted his resignation.
Following Mr Simmonds' resignation the Board remains compliant with the Combined Code in relation to Section B.1.2 (Board Composition) of the UK Corporate Governance Code.
Commenting on Mr Simmonds' resignation Chris Humphrey, Chairman of Eckoh, said today:
"Whilst we are disappointed to lose Peter as a non-executive Director, we understand the reasons behind his decision. We thank him for his contribution to Eckoh and the Board."
