GKN plc announces that Marcus Bryson, CBE, Chief Executive Aerospace and LandSystems, will step down from the Board on 31 December 2014. Marcus Brysonjoined GKN with the acquisition of the Westland Group in 1994 and held a numberof senior financial and commercial roles within GKN Aerospace before beingappointed to the Board as Chief Executive Aerospace in June 2007 andsubsequently assuming the additional responsibility for GKN Land Systems inOctober 2011. Marcus will continue to work for the Company on a part-time basis until 31December 2015 to provide advice and support in relation to industrydevelopments, UK government relations and strategic matters, with the titlePresident GKN Aerospace. Kevin Cummings, CEO GKN Aerospace, and Phil Swash, CEO GKN Land Systems, willjoin the GKN Executive Committee and will report directly to Nigel Stein, ChiefExecutive. GKN Chairman, Mike Turner, CBE, said "Marcus has made a huge contribution toGKN, being instrumental in the creation of GKN's leading aerospace business.During his seven years on the GKN Board we have benefited greatly from Marcus'extensive experience.
