Directorate Change

The Board of Countrywide plc is pleased to announce that Rupert Gavin will be appointed Non-Executive Director of the Company with immediate effect.

Rupert has held a range of Board positions, at both Chairman and Director level in a variety of businesses with a strong consumer bias. Most recently he was Chief Executive Officer at Odeon & UCI Cinemas Group between 2005 and 2014. He was previously at the BBC where he was Chairman and Chief Executive of BBC Worldwide and also at BT where he was Managing Director of the Consumer Division, prior to which he was at the Dixons Stores Group latterly as Deputy Managing Director.

Commenting on the appointment, David Watson, Interim Chairman Countrywide plc said:

There is no information to be disclosed under LR 9.6.13R of the UKLA Listing Rules in respect of the appointment of Rupert Gavin.
