Barratt Developments PLC28 April 2008 BARRATT DEVELOPMENTS PLC RNS ANNOUNCEMENT Barratt appoints non-executive director Monday 28th April 2008 Barratt Developments Plc ("Barratt") announces that it has appointed Mark Rolfeto its Board as non executive director from 1st May 2008. Mr Rolfe will alsoserve on the Audit and Nominations Committees. Mark Rolfe, an accountant, was Finance Director of Gallaher Group Plc for sevenyears until April 2007 when the Group was acquired by Japan Tobacco Inc. Hiscareer with Gallaher spanned 20 years serving in various finance and executiveroles. Mark Rolfe is also non executive director of The Sage Group Plc and Hornby Plc. Barratt Chairman, Charles Toner, said: "We are delighted to welcome Mark Rolfe to the Board of Barratt. His trackrecord and breadth of experience as Finance Director of a leading InternationalCompany will be a great asset to us and he will no doubt make a uniquecontribution to the work of the Board and its committees".
