Rexam appoints new non executive director

Rexam PLC, the global consumer packaging company, announces that Ros Rivaz is to join the Board as a non executive director on 12 June 2013.

Ros is currently Chief Technology Officer for Smith & Nephew, the global medical technology business, where she is responsible for manufacturing, supply chain and procurement, IT systems, corporate sustainability, regulatory affairs and quality assurance. Ros has held senior management positions in supply chain management, logistics, manufacturing, procurement and systems in global companies such as ExxonMobil, ICI, Tate & Lyle and Diageo.

Commenting on the appointment, Stuart Chambers, Rexam's chairman, said: "We are delighted to welcome Ros to the Board of Rexam. She brings considerable technology experience, and her extensive expertise in driving efficiencies in manufacturing processes and procurement in global organisations will be of real value to Rexam."

There are no further details to be disclosed under paragraph 9.6.13 (2) to (6) of the Listing Rules.
