Board Changes

The Board of Nature Group, the AIM quoted provider of port reception facilities and waste treatment solutions for the oil, marine and process industries, is pleased to announce, further to the announcement today of the acquisition of International Slop Disposal (I.S.D) B.V. ("ISD") and Ecoscrub B.V. from Port Invest B.V. ("Portinvest"), the appointment of Andreas Drenthen and Bernard Muller as directors with effect from the completion of the acquisition.

 

Andreas Drenthen, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ISD and of Portinvest, will join the Board and become full time Chief Executive Officer of Nature Group, based in Rotterdam and will work closely with Darren Laguea, who will be the Company's Managing Director based principally in Gibraltar and covering South West Europe and the Group's 'recovered oil' strategy.

 

Bernard Muller, the Chairman of Portinvest, will join the Board as a non-executive director and will be appointed Deputy Chairman of Nature Group.

 

Information on Andreas Drenthen and Bernard Muller

 

Andreas Drenthen, graduated from Erasmus University, Rotterdam in 1992. After initial management experience in the computer and pharmaceutical sectors, he joined Storage Technology (The Netherlands) B.V. ("Storage Tek") in 1998. After management roles in sales and accounts, Andreas was appointed in April 2001 as general manager of Storage Tek with responsibility for the Dutch branch, marketing, sales and services. In August 2006, Andreas joined Chemoil Europe B.V. as an interim manager and then, in August 2007, he joined Burando Maritime Services as an interim manager to review group operations, initiate new processes and improve efficiency. He was subsequently appointed as CEO of Portinvest in January 2008 heading up the operations of Burando Group companies, ISD, Ship Spares Logistics B.V., Ecoscrub and Fendercare Europe B.V..

 

Bernard Muller has been involved in maritime transportation since 1993 after graduating from Erasmus University, Rotterdam. After setting up and running several enterprises he entered a joint venture partnership with Hofftrans B.V. in 1997 which later merged into Burando Maritime Services. As Chairman of Portinvest, which is affiliated with Burando Holding B.V.(through its shareholders), Bernard Muller has been responsible for strategy and finance for the Burando Group which has become one of the leading maritime service providers in the ARA (Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Antwerp) Region.
