AFC Energy is pleased to announce that Terry Walsh will join the Board of the Company as Commercial Director.
In a further change, Otto Carlisle, Technical Director of AFC Energy has left the Company to pursue other interests and is no longer a director.
Terence Matthew Walsh (aged 41), Commercial Director
Terry's expertise lies in growing commercial business income. As part of this he will plan and deliver strategies for AFC Energy to attract new business, increase sales and licensing income and expand existing business services to promote a stronger commercial base.
Terry joins to the Company with a demonstrable 17 year track record in industry and retail, having worked at blue chip corporations including ICI where he held the position of Energy Trading Manager. In 2000, Terry joined INEOS Chlor, one of the largest Chlor Alkali businesses in Europe, where he was a Business Manager. The Chlor Alkali sector remains a key market segment for AFC Energy's fuel cell systems. Terry has a degree from London University.
Chairman, Tim Yeo, commented, "Terry joined the Company in September and has been a tremendous addition to the management team. I am delighted to welcome him to the main board. I would also like to thank Otto for his considerable contributions to the Company through the IPO and its development phase".
