Fyffes PLC13 December 2005 Stock Exchange Announcement Fyffes plc has announced the following Board changes: Neil McCann has decided to retire as a director, having stepped down as Chairmanin December 2003. During his fifty-five years in the business, he has been thedriving force behind the creation and development of Fyffes plc into one of thelargest fresh produce companies in the world with annual sales in excess of €2billion. Coen Bos (50), Managing Director of Fyffes Tropical Produce Division, has beenappointed to the Board. He joined the Group following the acquisition ofVelleman & Tas BV in 1997. With a background in shipping and logistics, Coenassumed responsibility for the management of the Group's tropical produceoperations in 2000. Rory Byrne (45), Managing Director of Fyffes General Produce Division, has beenappointed to the Board. He joined the Group in 1988 from KPMG. Having held anumber of senior financial and operational roles within the Group, he assumedoverall responsibility for general produce operations in 2002. In a statement, the Board of Fyffes said: "Neil McCann has been an extraordinary leader and an inspiration to everyonewith whom he has dealt in the business. He can be very proud of the large andhighly respected Group that he has created. It is fitting that he steps down atthe end of a year in which the Group is expecting record results. We are pleased that Coen Bos and Rory Byrne are joining the Board. Coen andRory have made a very significant contributions in their present positions andwe believe their knowledge and experience will be a great asset to the Board."
