SCISYS PLC ('SCISYS' or the 'Company'; AIM: SSY) - the supplier of bespoke software systems, IT based solutions and support services to the Media Broadcast, Space, Government and Defence and Environment sectors - is pleased to confirm that Klaus Heidrich, currently chief operating officer and an executive director of the Company, will assume the role of Chief Executive with effect from 1 January 2014.
As envisaged in the announcement of 27 October 2011 in respect of Klaus' appointment as a director and setting out the Company's long-term success plan, Klaus will succeed David Jones, who will step down from this role and remain with the Company as Executive Director for the foreseeable future.
Dr Mike Love, Chairman of SCISYS said:
"I would like to thank David for his contribution as CEO and wish Klaus well as his successor. They have formed an effective team over the last two years and I am pleased that David will remain as a Director with a particular responsibility for our defence interests.
