Severn Trent Plc announces today, Monday 19 December 2005, the appointments ofMr Richard Davey and Dr Bernard Bulkin as Non Executive Directors. They willtake up their appointments on the Board of Severn Trent Plc on 1 January 2006.Mr Davey is a Non Executive Director of Yorkshire Building Society and AmlinPlc and a former Non Executive Director of Freeserve plc and Scottish WidowsFund and Life Assurance Society. He worked as Head of Investment Banking for NMRothschild & Sons. Previously he held a number of roles in variousorganisations including Merrill Lynch International Ltd and Exco InternationalPlc.Dr Bulkin is Chairman of AEA Technology Plc and a Non Executive Director ofAccelergy Corporation (California). He is a Commissioner on the UK SustainableDevelopment Commission where he chairs the Climate Change, Energy and TransportGroup. He is also a member of the DTI Sustainable Energy Policy Advisory Board.Previously he worked for BP Plc for 18 years until 2003 when he retired asChief Scientist.Sir John Egan, Chairman, said: "Mr Davey and Dr Bulkin bring a formidablebreadth of experience to Severn Trent which will be invaluable.
