AMEC announces new board director
AMEC plc, the international engineering and project management company, today announces that Neil Carson will join the board as a non-executive director on 31 August 2010.
Neil has been Chief Executive of Johnson Matthey Plc, the FTSE100 speciality chemical company, since 2004. He joined the company in 1980 after completing an engineering degree, and has held a number of senior management positions in both the UK and the US. In his time as Chief Executive, he has refocused the company on environmental technology and invested in process efficiencies, achieving economies of scale from a balanced portfolio.
AMEC Chairman, Jock Green-Armytage said: "We are delighted with the appointment of Neil to the AMEC plc board. His experience in managing a world class, complex, international company will be invaluable to AMEC as we focus on growth and delivery of our Vision 2015."
