Guy Berruyer appointed Meggitt non-executive director

Meggitt PLC, a leading international company specialising in high performance components and sub-systems for the aerospace, defence and energy markets, has appointed Guy Berruyer non-executive director with immediate effect.

Guy, a French national, is Group Chief Executive of The Sage Group plc, which he joined as Chief Executive of its French division in 1997. Sage, a FTSE 100 company, is a leading global provider of business management software to more than 6 million small and medium sized companies. Guy spent his early career with several software and hardware vendors in management roles both at French and European level.

Guy does not hold any other non-executive directorships.

We considered a broad range of candidates for the role using an executive search agency and determined that Guy's international experience and perspective will bring diversity to the deliberations of the Board."

Meggitt PLC confirms there are no further details to disclose under paragraph 9.6.13 (2) to (6) of the Listing Rules in relation to Guy Berruyer.
