AstraZeneca PLC25 July 2007 AstraZeneca PLC appoints new Non-Executive Director AstraZeneca today announced that Bo Angelin is to join the Board of Directors asa Non-Executive Director with immediate effect. Bo Angelin is currentlyProfessor of Clinical Metabolism at Karolinska Institutet and Head of theDepartment of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes at the KarolinskaUniversity Hospital in Stockholm, Sweden, where his research group is studyingthe regulation of lipid metabolism in the liver by genes, diets, and hormones inorder to find new ways of eliminating cholesterol from the body. Louis Schweitzer, Chairman of AstraZeneca, said: "I am delighted that Bo Angelinhas agreed to join us. His considerable experience in medical research and thepractice of medicine will be of great benefit to the work of the Board".
