Friends Provident plc Evelyn Bourke appointed CFO
Friends Provident plc has appointed Evelyn Bourke as chief financial officer (CFO) subject to regulatory approval. She joins from Standard Life UK Financial Services where she was CFO.
Evelyn Bourke has a strong track record and significant experience in financial services having held senior roles at Standard Life and Chase de Vere Investments plc, and having undertaken a wide range of consulting work in the life and pensions industry including as a principal at Tillinghast -Towers Perrin.
Evelyn Bourke will join Friends Provident after completing a notice period of six months. Until then Charles Bellringer will remain interim CFO.
Commenting on the appointment, Sir Adrian Montague, chairman of Friends Provident said:

Evelyn Bourke biography:
Evelyn Bourke joined Standard Life in 2005 as Group Strategy and Planning Director. She was subsequently appointed Group Actuarial Director before being appointed CFO of Standard Life UK Financial Services, the principal operating division of Standard Life. Prior to joining Standard Life she held senior positions and undertook a wide range of consulting work in the life and pensions industry at Chase de Vere Investments plc., St James' Place plc and Tillinghast - Towers Perrin, where she was involved in consulting on strategic and financial performance for life assurance companies, mainly in the UK and in Europe.
