Kier Group PLC15 June 2006 KIER GROUP PLC DIRECTORATE CHANGE The Board of Kier Group plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Phil WhiteCBE as a non-executive director of the Company with effect from 1 July 2006. Mr. White, aged 56, was appointed to the Board of National Express Group inJanuary 1996 and became its Chief Executive in 1997, since when the business hasbeen transformed into one of the UK's largest transportation groups. He is achartered accountant and has extensive experience of both listed and privatecompanies. He is currently President of the Confederation of PassengerTransport. Peter Warry, Chairman, said: "I am very much looking forward to welcoming Phil to the Board. His breadth ofexperience as CEO of an international business will contribute significantly tothe future growth of Kier Group plc." Mr. White is a director of National Express Group plc, otherwise no informationin relation to Mr. White is required to be disclosed pursuant to Listing Rule9.6.13R.
