HBOS PLC24 March 2005 Phil Hodkinson appointed Group Finance Director at HBOS Mark Tucker, Group Finance Director, is leaving the Group to become CEO ofPrudential plc. He will be replaced by Phil Hodkinson, CEO, Insurance &Investment Division. Phil Hodkinson has led the development of the Group's insurance and investmentbusinesses since his appointment as CEO of the division in 2001. Since then,HBOS has delivered very significant growth throughout its general insurancebusiness, including the successful launch of esure. The Group has alsosubstantially increased its market share in long term savings; in 2004, for thefirst time, HBOS took the number one slot for new investment sales in the UK.Phil Hodkinson is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and has previously beenCEO of Eagle Star Life and ran the UK life business of Zurich FinancialServices.
